Lately, we've had a bit of a bad run-in with Promyvion-Vahlz. Well, at least last week we did pretty badly. We lost in two successive attempts because we were stingy on anima usage. Not like we had much choice, we had 8 people up the spire, and the arena would only fit 6, so we were down to 4 animas per fight. ...add to that a pretty hard night of Nyzul investigations... ...and all that administrative work I had to prepare for the coming week...
Yeah, kinda felt down all last week. Fast forwarding through it. Was running on sleep deprivation a lot, so I'll spare the weird stories of me laughing at just about anything.
I come back from that week, exhausted, and I'm enrolled into "more of the same", meaning I had to return to Vahlz again. I got my animas ready, and headed to Pso-Xja for more ass kicking (praying it wouldn't be mine again.) Meilin took control, and set up a precise order for the fight. I kept repeating in my head the instructions meant for me.
Coeurl >> "go after Erin..."
Coeurl >> "go after Erin..."
Coeurl >> "go after-OHCRAPWEREGOINGIN!!!"
Bucer went in first, provoked the target, Erin used her Psycho. 20 seconds, then her Hystero. I counted my 45 seconds, threw in my Hystero. At that point the sheep-thingy went after us, Erin threw her Terro, Hundred-Fisted the spider. Next for the sheep, we were doing well without animas. Bucer threw his Psycho nonetheless to help lessen the load, Mei Terro'ed the big eye, buying us time to finish our prey. Then... we went apeshit on that last one. A full complement of animas, doubled with unleashing of my, Zetra and Booty's 2-hour abilities.
SCORE!!! DONE WITH VAHLZ!!! We headed out our separate ways from there, to continue our investigation on the emptiness. That took me around a bit of everywhere in Vana'diel, to places as far out as Purgonorgo Isle. ...I think I finally found out who the father of that trio of brats really was.
The next day, it was our usual Nyzul/Emptiness combo night. Nyzul was, again, dreadful. But at least, I got enough credits to my name to impress Naja, as she assigned me to plant a device in one of the warhorse hoofprint sightings. As for the Emptiness investigation? Well... we made it to Pso'Xja, following Tenzen's lead on asking the Terrestrial avatars for help. That place is just painful. We had to run through 16 rooms, 15 of which were trapped, and a dozen had aggressives loafing about in them. At least we made it through with minimal deaths.
Lastly, I spent most of today invested in my Beastmaster ways. Thanks to Flaru's annoying habit of detailing all his adventures whenever we met, I knew already well how to handle the bats in Garlaige Citadelle. Trouble was I didn't knew too well about the undead. Damned blood aggro. I ran quite a few times outside, hoping those skellies wouldn't dare follow me into daylight. Surprisingly, I made it through without a single death. Lv43 is mine now.
After that, I went about in Besieged, participated in Pankration, before being asked to show up for our ongoing Emptiness investigation. We met in Delkfutt Tower to check out a locked room, thanks to Wolfgang's help in providing us the key to the place. Alas, a big bad magic doll guarded the place. It was a tough struggle, but we pulled through. After we looked through and through the room, well... let's just say I'm left with even more questions going out of there than I had going in. The evening was topped off with a Bomb Queen run. I was quite apprehensive, but we were joined by another crew, which made the battle that much easier. Throughful synchronizing of attacks made short work of her offsprings. We left there with a happy Bucer.

FURST POAST!!!
Hehehe! Amazing how often people take pride in being the first comment in a blog. Especially when it's a popular one. I'm looking at you, Bannable Offenses.
Anyways, I figure it's time I split up my blog into two parts, one for my ongoing autobiography, and the other for more recent events. That way, I can keep up with what's happening lately so I can write it down in a more autobiographical way once I get to that point in time. The rest being restituted from lost memories isn't exactly always accurate. But hey, old timer's spinning of tales are always fascinating, no?
"You young'uns have it easy nowadays. Back in my days, Jeuno was just a little fishing town, and we were constantly attacked by monsters and beastmen, and yadda-yadda-yadda... Single-handedly pushed back an assault of a dozen Gigases... and so on, and so on..."
Anyways, keep tuned for weekly updates, as my adventures in Vana'diel keep on piling up!
